The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is a government-funded initiative designed to assist older Australians in maintaining their independence and living safely in their own homes for as long as possible. This entry-level support program offers a variety of essential services tailored to meet the individual needs of seniors, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care while preserving their autonomy and dignity.

Our CHSP Services

We provide a comprehensive range of services under the CHSP, ensuring that older Australians receive the support they need to continue living comfortably at home. Our services include:

Domestic Assistance: Help with household chores, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping, to maintain a clean and organized living environment. This service is available to older Australians in the Southern and Western Metropolitan areas of Adelaide.

Transport Services: Reliable and safe transportation to and from medical appointments, social engagements, shopping, and other essential activities. This service is available to older Australian in the Northern Metropolitan areas of Adelaide. 

Who Is Eligible?

The CHSP is available to older Australians who require assistance with daily activities to continue living independently at home. Eligibility is determined through an assessment process conducted by My Aged Care.

How to Apply for CHSP Services

To access CHSP services, follow these steps:

1. Contact My Aged Care: Call 1800 200 422 or visit www.myagedcare.gov.au to discuss your needs and register for an assessment.
2. Schedule an Assessment: A member of the Regional Assessment Service (RAS) will conduct a home visit to determine the level of support required.
3. Select Your Services: Once approved, you can choose the CHSP services that best suit your needs and preferences.
